It feels fabulous to be working for a company that's main focus is on fashion, high fashion for that matter. Daily I'm exposed to the most gorgeous and glamorous gowns . Quite literally, in order to get to my office I have to pass through the window team's styling space. There's racks upon racks of the most up-to-date fashions that are combined and pulled together in the most magnificent ways.
With this exposure I am also made aware of the latest fashion trends and have a stronger understanding of how they truly tie into the world of interiors. This season deeply saturated tones of the finest gemstones like sapphires, emeralds and amethysts are showing up in all aspects of design. These colors are rich with depth and radiance. They add such a glamorous layer of opulence to both interiors and our wardrobes.
On the decorative home floor, the theme is even entitled "The Gilded Age" with bounds of golden foo dogs, lush textiles and colorful crystal chandeliers. These elements feel so present and of-the-moment, yet I can't help but remember that there is nothing new about this season, it's a throwback to the traditional grandeur and the appreciation of luxury. I've pulled together a few of my favorite fashions from the Fall 2012 Ready-To-Wear shows and juxtaposed them next to interiors that resonate. I hope you enjoy.
