On Sunday my friend and I decided to go on an adventure. We woke up at 4:30 am to drive two hours north to New Milford, CT to check out the Elephant's Trunk Flea Market. It was the first time in a long time that I had seen the sunrise which was lovely but the flea market was unfortunately a bust. May have been because this weekend coincided with Brimfield and there was rain in the forecast.
To make up for our losses we drove down to Norwalk and visited the Lillian August Warehouse store, which was having a huge sale. We also hit up the Homegoods, I have to say, I LOVE Homegoods! Sometimes it is so fun to shop the isles and find great inexpensive dinnerware and bedding. Where else can you find an amazing plated with a hand-painted golden octopus for $35?!
Back in Brooklyn we stopped into the Greenpoint location of In God We Trust where I purchased the cutest double faced watch. I'm so smitten over it. It's perfect for anyone who has a honey, second home or family in a different time zone. Since I'm such a Francophile, I currently have my second face set to Paris time!
Other fun products that In God We Trust sells are: awesome business card holders, cute converted mason jars - perfect for the office, 3D perspective Studs, and French ticking fabric accessory cases.
