Bigen hair color

For those of you who live in the NYC metro area and like myself can't afford to get your hair color touched up every 6 weeks, I've found a great alternative!  Ricky's sells this great semi-permenant hair dye that not only is rich is color but is also composed of safe and natural ingredients! The Bigen brand semi-permenant hair dye that comes in 6 different colors ranging from the bluest black to the deepest red.  It is both ammonia and peroxide free and best of all only costs $6.49!

If any my readers has ever looked at my about me page, you're probably wondering why I'm discussing hair dye.  Towards the end of winter this year, I took the plunge and dyed my hair from a naturally light, sandy blonde to a rich red.  At the time I couldn't afford the cost of highlighting my hair, and I most certainly wasn't going to do it on my own.  So I decided if I chose a solid color I would have an easier time of doing the touch-ups myself.  I also wanted to feel like the vixen Christina Hendricks who plays Joan Holloway on AMC's Mad Men.

Please note: I did not do the first dye process myself.  My hairdresser first filled my blonde highlight locks to a solid color, then she dyed the entire head in a single process rich red. For this touch up/color revamp I decided to do it myself.  I wanted to choose a brand that didn't use harsh chemicals like ammonia and my hairdresser had told me to steer clear of the hemp hair dyes, as they do not lift at all.  That left me to this brand as my only option and lucky for me, there was color that looked like the perfect shade.  Even though I may not be as sexy as Joan, I absolutely love the red, and plan on keeping it for a while.

And by the way, for those of you who are wondering, you can wear a lot of colors. I actually think more kinds clothing looks better with my current color!
